Fashion: Day 7

It is starting to get busy here again and I am not focusing. I'm just really wanting to work on things other then school...or more specifically writing. I'm very bad about procrastinating when writing. It stems from a lot of things but mostly I don't feel as if writing is something I could ever be good at. Why I am a literature miner when I have so many issues with writing I will never know. Currently I am taking a class called the Novel and I have an 8 page paper due. I'm just glad it is double spaced unlike my History of Modern Germany class. I just can't seem to make myself do what I should. I have so much else going on that I am excited for. I just got the last book in the Hannibal series and it just makes me want to read. Then my mom texts me about a vanity she found. I keep acquiring furniture and it makes me want to have my own place to decorate so bad. I end up a million miles away thinking about color swatches and the fun parts of adult hood that I just don't have. Thinking about what I don't have can be depressing but I'm in a surprisingly good place right now. I was serious a few days ago when I said get an iced coffee and go for a walk wile listening to a good podcast it will do you wonders.

This will be the last fashion day but please let me know if this is something you would like to see more of. These 7 days only captured a small bit of my wardrobe and I wouldn't mind doing more. I liked the challenge of using my clothing and accessories to my full ability. There are days where I just skip make up or jewelry. Would you like me to share more then art work? Comment below if you would like to see more about clothing or fashion or anything else you would like to see.

Fashion: Day 6

My fun time ends today. Starting tomorrow I have to start finishing my essays for the last days of school. By the beginning of May I will be home. I'm worried about getting a job and also worried about not being able to get one. It is just unpleasant all the way around. The whole process would be so much better if I knew it would be art related but, no matter how hopeful I am, I don't see that happening. Either way I am very much looking foreword to my break and I have lots of plans for the summer.

Fashion: Day 5

I feel like I am on track which hasn't happened in a while. I'm happy to say I have a plan for the rest of the semester. I have been worried about my dye work in my crafting class and am happy to say that should be all done next week. My clothing for today is not all that interesting but it is good to go casual at times.

Fashion: Day 4

This was a great day. I love that most of it was spent doing things that I enjoy with nothing to get in the way. I embroidered and went for a walk again. Yey Iced Coffee! I was very fortunate to get a copy of Fortunately The Milk by Neil Gaiman. I pick up a lot of used books in town but there are some popular books that are not normally found. Neil Gaiman is one of these. It is also one of those times where I got to have a conversation about things that are not normally talked about. It went from America being without common sense to fear of socialism because of Communism in Russia and how the history is not talked about. Then there was the contrast between Finland and North Korean education. Politics came up which lead to talk on Net Neutrality and Global Warming. I can't talk about the later without mentioning how screwed we are with the oceans. Finally I got to talk about the awesomeness of the Tardigrade.

Tis a good day, Tis a very good day.

Fashion: Day 3

A good thing to do when feeling spring fever is to go to McDonalds and get an iced coffee with caramel. From there take a nice long walk wile listening to your favorite podcast. Ditching class an hour early is optional.

Fashion: Day 2

I'm excited to be almost done with my Activist Stitch work. I should be able to show you all exactly what I have been working on in embroider. As that is going on I have to work on a project for my Digital Media class. This includes, for our final, making a wine label. This means I will be buying wine for my project in order to add a label to a real bottle. I'm also hoping to add gold leaf or etching to the bottle.

Lets Go For Round Two

Since I have been extra horrible and not updated since October of last year I wanted to add a few other pictures as a bonus.....if you can call it that.

First is pictures for the Steampunk events that took place in January.

My friend also did a lovely piece of henna for my birthday.

Finally I'm taking an Activist Stitch class and I choose to use the Project for Awesome as my bases for my work. The Project, if you don't know what it is, was started from the Vlogbrothers on Youtube and it is used to raise money and think critically about where the money raised should go to. If you have a chance check out the Project that takes place in December. Hopefully I can submit my work to help raise money. Just so you know I am done with this but I'll write more on it later.

Fashion: Day 1

I've been away for a long time and for good reason. School has been all consuming. I have a lot to post on this blog with all the art I have been making but that will come this summer. You can look foreword to embroidery, ceramics, and digital art. For now I want to let you all know I'm thinking more on how to make clothing. Fashion and dressing up is something I care a lot for. It is a nice feeling to present yourself in a way that stands out. So for this week I will be posting my daily outfits just to give my readers a since how my fashion choices since it is a big focus for me.
